The Homeschool Science Series is created by Allegro Productions, Inc. a former Time Inc. division celebrating its 50th year in business!  Allegro produces the award winning SCIENCE SCREEN REPORT and SCIENCE SCREEN REPORT FOR KIDS videos, in continuous production since 1970.  Our educational programs are created in cooperation with some of the finest science producers in the world including York Films, Electric Sky, The Australian Broadcasting Company and many others.

 

Each video is designed to show the increasingly complex world we live in and how science plays an important role in our everyday lives.  The Homeschool Science Series will help parents bring science to life at home, covering topics and concepts that are difficult to address in a text book.  And for those students who are interested in pursuing an exciting career in the sciences, this series offers a dynamic look at a variety of science based careers.

 

Since 1984, Allegro has been a proud participant in the National Science Foundation's Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.  For more than ten years we funded the SCIENCE SCREEN REPORT Award presented by The National Science Teachers Association.  Our support of the academic community is extended through the use of SCIENCE SCREEN REPORT at the Smithsonian Institute's Teacher Resource Center, Eisenhower National Clearinghouse, the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of Education's captioned program for hearing-impaired students.

 

Our programs are seen by millions of students in all fifty states and Canada.  We have been helping improve science curriculum nationwide for almost 40 years and we are thrilled to be able to make these materials available to the homeschool market.
